The mountaineering village of Vent at the foot of Talleitspitze has always been an El Dorado for high mountain conquests, guided 3,000 meter tours as well as pristine skiing in unspoilt nature. Additionally, 12 of Austria’s 20 highest mountains can be found around Vent. Impressed? Then come in and get ready for Ötztal!
Latest Update Following the Severe Weather
First, the good news: Nothing stands in the way of your mountain adventure in Ötztal. Almost all of our hiking and cycling routes are open and accessible, with the following exceptions:
SÖLDEN
- The Ötztal Cycle Trail between Kaisers and Aschbach
- The hiking trails from Kaisers towards Brand and Kaiserberg – Atterkar – Amberger Hütte
However, attractive alternative routes are available for these sections.
VENT
The road to the Rofen farms is open to traffic (residents, delivery drivers, and guests), but access to the village is limited due to construction work. The hiking trail to Rofen is accessible via the trail or the suspension bridge.
Regardless of these restrictions, we can assure you of a wide variety of sporting and mountain adventures throughout Ötztal.
