The easy circular hike to the Talblick Umhausen starts at the Mure parking lot in the village center of Umhausen. From there, it goes downstream through meadows and fields towards Farst/Östen. In the Östen district, you cross the federal highway and continue straight ahead, past the football field and over the wooden bridge, to the Hopfgarten district. From Hopfgarten, it goes slightly uphill to the Talblick Umhausen, where you enjoy a wonderful view upstream toward Umhausen. After a relaxing break, the circular hike leads gently downhill to Tumpen. In Tumpen, near the elementary school, you cross the federal highway again and follow the hiking trail past the legendary "Engelswand" and the chapel "Maria Schnee," back to the starting point of the Umhausen circular hike.

Public transit
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly continue with public transport or local taxi services through the entire valley to your desired destination.

Getting there
The car drive to ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the Ötztal branches off southwards as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car takes visitors over the Inn Valley to the valley entrance and further along the Ötztal. Besides the toll highway, country roads can also be used.
