The Tour
UMHAUSEN PARKING MURE -> Farster Street -> Farst -> REICH ALM
The start is at the "Mure" parking lot in the village center of Umhausen. Below the cemetery, the hiking trail leads downstream through the wide meadow landscape and past chapels until you reach the foot of the mountain (Farst). In further hairpin bends, the approximately 1-hour ascent to Farst follows. Once at the top, you enjoy the magnificent view downstream to the Gurgler Kamm. Above the houses, signs point to the trail to Reichalm (not managed). This leads in a varied way, sometimes steeper, then gentler, upwards. Caution is required in the last section, as the terrain drops steeply into the Farster gully. At the end of the hike, the view opens to the magnificent alpine and high meadow area, framed by a unique mountain world.
Tip: You can take a taxi up to Farst
