POWER AND ENERGY ROOM LÄNGENFELD
Researchers have discovered that the Längenfeld valley basin was underwater until around 900 AD, forming a lake. Today, the valley floor is covered with unusually fertile soil and almost tangible energy sources. Around Längenfeld and its hamlets, you can find many of these extraordinary power and energy spots marking the traces of the lake from a millennium ago. A network of trails named Kraftquell Längenfeld connects all these many power and energy moments.
One of these is our next stop: Between the high plateaus Brand and Burgstein, you cross the 200m high suspension bridge. A power moment with a panoramic view of the flat lake basin, below a harmonious scene where lovely hamlets and small villages line up, with the Ötztaler Ache winding through its floodplains. With these impressions, the hike leads us to the next stage destination. Great contrasts are also found here, from quiet farms and original paths into the center of Sölden, where there is bustling activity!

Roadbook
The starting point of this hike is in the center of Längenfeld at the Fischbach Bridge. The first steps lead into the so-called gorge; there you choose the left side of the stream and hike some elevation along the Strelesperre rock path towards Brand Alm. After about 40 minutes of ascent, you reach the idyllic mountain farm in Brand. From there, you first cross a dense forest area and follow the path over a 220 m high suspension bridge, with an incredible panorama of the entire Längenfeld valley basin. The district of Burgstein, located on a sunny balcony, spoils you with a traditional mountain idyll.
From there, you climb a hunting trail up to a solitary hunting cabin. Then you continue hiking along the mountain side and afterwards downhill to Winkle. At a gravel plant, you turn left. From there, you hike uphill through the forest and then downhill again past the district of Winkle to Bruggen.
At the end of Bruggen, you take the underpass, cross the federal road, and follow the path downstream to Aschbach. After another underpass, you reach the other side of the street and follow the signs towards Sölden. At the forest edge, you hike above the large hamlets of Sölden, Kaisers, Schmiedhof, Rechenau, until you reach the center of the community of Sölden.
