Just before the Polltal Alm, turn left and a narrow mountain path begins towards the Hahlkoglhaus.
The path initially leads through dense forest.
Above the tree line stands the beautifully located Hahlkoglhaus – over level mossy ground the path then leads directly to the summit cross of the Hahlkogl. The last few meters are somewhat exposed and require a head for heights.
