The Sulztalalm is closed in summer 2025 due to renovation work. 

The starting point is the parking lot at the outskirts of Gries. From here, follow a gently ascending forest road in the direction of Sulztalalm. Passing the Vögelas bridge, you soon reach the junction where you follow the forest road to the Sulztalalm. Once there, continue hiking towards the Amberger Hut. The last 20 minutes of the route are steeper, but shortly afterward you reach the Amberger Hut. Just below the hut is a small lake with a sulfur spring.

Start at the outskirts of Gries, a gently ascending forest road leads to the Vorderen Sulztalalm. Then continue past the Hintere Sulztalalm; the last 20 minutes are quite steep, leading to the Amberger Hut.

Travel comfortably and safely by train. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Then you can travel conveniently and quickly with public bus services or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination.
