Description

A round hike with a difference. The hiking taxi brings us from Niederthai into the Horlachtal valley. Up there, we hike across slightly ascending pastures to the Finstertaler Alm, then the route continues a little bit more challenging up to the almost untouched summits of the small and big Peistakogel. From there we enjoy a unique view of the Horlachtal valley and the Ötztal Alps. After the first two summit breaks, we will continue in a sporty fashion to the Gruejoch saddle and the Gruesee lake. The diversity of flower species is overwhelming there: After a refreshing break at the Gruesee lake, our hike continues to the Bergmahderweg path and back to the lovely landscape surrounding Niederthai. Together we will enjoy the silence actively.
