UMHAUSEN -> Mure parking lot -> Neudorf district -> Fundus bridge -> Fundustal/Leierstal junction -> Vordere Leierstalalm -> Erlanger Hut -> WETTERSEE
From the Mure parking lot in the village center of Umhausen, cross the bridge, pass the parish church, and continue leisurely through the Neudorf district. After crossing the Fundus bridge, follow the wide forest road to the junction of Fundustal (left) and Leierstal (right). From there, continue right until you reach the "unattended" Vordere Leierstalalm. From the Alm, a cart track gently leads uphill to the material cableway, then continue on path No. 913 with a steady ascent to the already visible but only seemingly nearby Erlanger Hut. From the hut to the deep dark Wettersee is only five minutes away. The Wettersee is a jewel among mountain lakes. It can be leisurely circled in one hour on a newly created path. The descent follows the ascent route. A transfer or pickup to/from the Vordere Leierstalalm with the hut taxi is possible, then the walking time is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours.

Public transport
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel through the entire valley to your desired destination using public transportation or local taxi services! Directions
Driving to the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the Ötztal branches southward as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car leads visitors via the Inn Valley to the valley entrance and then along the Ötztal. Besides the toll highway, country roads can also be used. Equipment
