There is a second variant via which you reach the Stabelealm. Through a wide, but longer forest road, which begins in Unterried. First follow the signs in the direction to Wurzbergalm, then follow the path to Leckalm. From there, the forest trail drops slightly until you reach the Stabelealm.
The Stabele Alm is one of the fine culinary spots ("Genussplatzlen"). "Regional, seasonal, honest cuisine - whatever is available is enough!" - is the motto. The "Genussplatzlen" include commited businesses that act regionally and sustainably whenever possible. Find out more at www.oetztal.com/genussplatzlen
