Descent from the Schöne Aussicht to Kurzras in the Schnalstal (1 ½ h), from there by bus to Vernagt am See (https://www.sad.it) and from Vernagt am See to the Similaun hut (1,300 m ascent / 4 - 5 h).
Reservation of hut sleeping places necessary!

Descent from the Schöne Aussicht to Kurzras in the Schnalstal (1 ½ h), from there by bus to Vernagt am See (https://www.sad.it) and from Vernagt am See to the Similaun hut (1,300 m ascent / 4 - 5 h).

Public transit
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel through the entire valley to your desired destination by public transport or local taxi companies! Getting there
Driving by car into the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the Ötztal branches off to the south as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car leads visitors via the Inn Valley to the valley entrance and further along the Ötztal. Besides the toll motorway, country roads can also be used. Equipment
Suitable equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, hat, possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without opportunities to stop, is necessary.
