From the heart of the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN, the red Leiterberg Trail leads out to the wild side – sometimes flowing, sometimes stubborn, but always super beautiful.
The Leiterberg Trail is a natural, technical trail that winds beautifully through the forest of the BIKE REPUBLIC. Those who are confident on the bike and have experience will have immense fun here. For trail beginners, it is not completely rideable but offers repeatedly smoothly rideable sections and is perfect for working on riding skills. Especially in the 2nd trail section, it shows itself technically demanding with many stones and massive roots. In the final part, it repeatedly goes uphill – not for heavy downhill bikes! At the end, take the flowing LETTN LINE to the Giggijochbahn valley station.
The Leiterberg Trail is accessible via the HARBE LINE or from Gaislachkogl via Bartigs Bödele & Rettenbach Trail – or you can pedal yourself up on the Hochsölden road.
The Leiterberg Trail is also part of the Enduro Schölder M & Enduro Gortach G routes and the Long Trail Schölder.

Safety guidelines
The Leiterberg Trail is a natural trail that offers wonderfully flowing sections but also features boulder-strewn parts, large roots, and stones. Those who are not yet confident with their riding skills will need to dismount several times. However, it is also suitable for those who want to carefully tackle such challenges.
At the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN, it’s all about shared fun in bike sports – no matter your riding level. Be considerate of each other and support one another. Also, behave with the same respect toward all other people on the mountain and in the valley – and to nature.
→ Stay on the paved and signposted paths. Do not ride over open meadows!
→ Avoid blocking the rear wheel to help maintain the trails.
→ Be considerate of animals & close the pasture gates. There can always be cows on the trails and lines. Ride cautiously and keep a distance!
→ Please note: Hikers also use the natural trails of BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN. Ride carefully, stop, yield considerately, and greet politely.
Also, the trail crosses the forest road several times – roll carefully here.

Arrival by train
Travel by train easily to Ötztal station at the valley entrance. A regular bus departs directly from the station forecourt towards Obergurgl. The bus ride to Sölden takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. On the designated bike line buses, bike transport (including e-MTBs) is free with a valid bus ticket.

WHERE IS SÖLDEN?
Sölden is located in the west of Austria in the state of TYROL, in a southern side valley of the Inn valley – the ÖTZTAL.
Arrival from the west:
from Vorarlberg to Tyrol via the Arlberg Pass or through the Arlberg tunnel (S 16) - Landeck - highway A 12 towards Innsbruck - exit Ötztal after Roppener tunnel - B 186 (35km) to Sölden
From the north:
- Bad Tölz - Achen Pass - B 181 - Jenbach - A 12 Innsbruck direction Bregenz - exit Ötztal - B 186 (35km) to Sölden
- Pfronten - Reutte - Fernpass - Imst - A 12 direction Innsbruck - exit Ötztal after Roppener tunnel or B 171 Tiroler Straße to Ötztal (toll-free) - B 186 (35km) to Sölden
- Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Ehrwald - Lermoss - Fernpass - Imst - A 12 direction Innsbruck - exit Ötztal after Roppener tunnel or B 171 Tiroler Straße to Ötztal (toll-free) - B 186 (35km) to Sölden
- Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Mittenwald - Scharnitz - Seefeld in Tirol - Telfs - A 12 direction Bregenz - exit Ötztal or B 171 Tiroler Straße to Ötztal (toll-free) - B186 (35km) to Sölden
From the east:
from Munich or Salzburg on the A 93 to Kufstein, then on the A 12 towards Bregenz, via Innsbruck to exit Ötztal, then continue on B 186 (35km) to Sölden
From the south:
coming from Bolzano towards Brenner (toll road) - Brenner highway via toll station Schönberg towards Innsbruck - from Innsbruck on A 12 direction Bregenz to the approach to Ötztal - continue on B 186 (35km) to Sölden
Parking
At the valley stations of the Gaislachkoglbahn and Giggijochbahn, ample parking spaces are available, including parking garages.
Parking spaces are subject to a fee.
