The Tour
You take the Acherkogel cable car up to Hochoetz. From the mountain station, the forest path leads slightly downhill to the left to the Kühtaile Alm. Passing the WIDI playground "Kristallwasser," you cross the small stream and reach the hut after a short walk. The path is wide and also suitable for wheelchairs with electric assistance and strollers. Duration: about 30 minutes
The Kühtaile Alm was built in Canadian log cabin style and fits perfectly into the alpine landscape.
Alternative hiking routes:
A slightly longer walk leads past the family adventure land WIDIVERSUM and to the viewpoint Rotes Wandl. Duration: about 45 minutes
Ascent from Ochsengarten along the forest path about 1.5 hours.

Public transit
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel by public transport or local taxi companies throughout the valley to your desired destination! The following parking options are available:
- Parking lot Acherkogelbahn (paid)
- Parking lot Rafting entry point (at the end of Oetz on the right side) (paid)
- Central parking lot Oetz (paid)
- Overnight parking during multi-day tours: Central parking lot Oetz, tickets are available at the Oetz information office.
- For hikes starting from Ochsengarten or rides with the Ochsengarten gondola, free parking is available in Ochsengarten - camping prohibited

Equipment
Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-adapted outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, hat, possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without dining options, is necessary.
