Start at the Köfels parking lot and hike the trail up towards "Köfler Schartle." Upon reaching the top, enjoy a beautiful view of the Fundustal and the Ötztal. Then continue along the Waalweg (Europe’s highest located Waalweg) towards the Frischmann Hut. There you can relax and then hike past the Fundusalm back to the starting point.

Start at the Köfels parking lot and hike the trail up towards "Köfler Schartle." Upon reaching the top, enjoy a beautiful view of the Fundustal and the Ötztal. Then continue along the Waalweg (Europe’s highest located Waalweg) towards the Frischmann Hut. There you can relax and then hike past the Fundusalm back to the starting point.

Public transit

Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can continue conveniently and quickly with public transportation or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination.

Getting there

The car ride into the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tirol, the Ötztal branches southward as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car, visitors take the Inntal route up to the valley entrance and continue along the Ötztal. In addition to the toll motorway, country roads can also be used.
