The very demanding ascent over the steep mountain slopes will soon be rewarded. The Soomsee lies embedded in a dreamlike mountain world; from there, it continues to the Itlsee. Staying and relaxing at the lake gives new strength to master the last ascent to the pass. Upon reaching the pass (2,932 m), the hiker is rewarded with a breathtaking view. The descent follows the same path.

Public transit

Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel conveniently and quickly with public transportation or local taxi companies throughout the valley to your desired destination! Getting there

Driving to the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the Ötztal branches southward as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. The journey by car leads travelers over the Inn valley to the valley entrance and further along the Ötztal. Besides the toll highway, country roads can also be used.
