Map & elevation profile

SAUTENS -> Meadow path Beerweg -> Piburger Bridge -> Medinger Weg -> SAUTENS

The starting point is the bus stop in Sautens, in front of Hotel Gisela. Walk along the village street towards the south to the district of Pirchhof. Here we are at the edge of the village of Sautens and stroll on a beautiful paved hiking path over the meadows (Beerweg) to Oetz. At the recycling center, the Beerweg merges into Piburger Straße. Now follow this and cross the Ötztaler Ache on the Piburger Bridge. Immediately after the bridge, turn left towards the Achwirt restaurant. Past the Bike Center, the gravel path "Medinger Weg" leads back along the river to Sautens. Just below the village, cross a wooden bridge (Sautner Steeg) again to the west bank. The ascent back to the district Pirchhof is a bit steep and is done in switchbacks.
