A walking route of a special kind is the "Ötztaler Sagenweg". Embark on the discovery-rich journey full of legends that equally delight children and adults and inspire dreaming.
Over almost three kilometers, the discovery-rich journey full of legends stretches, delighting children and adults alike and inspiring dreaming. The approximately 1.5-hour hike begins at the sports field in Huben on the beautifully integrated, family-friendly path in nature. Along the route, sculptures up to 5 m high depict 14 different legends from the Ötztal.
How do the discovery routes work?
1. Get started: Simply click on the link or scan the QR code. You can also scan the QR code directly on the trail. In both cases, you will be redirected to a new page. You don't need to download anything, create an account, download an app, or anything else. The digital routes including facts are available as a web version and easily accessible via link (or QR code).
2. No cheating possible: The individual stations must first be reached to unlock and listen to the associated stories and facts. But who wants to cheat when you've got it in your legs?
3. Digital collection pass: After you have reached all stations of a discovery route, you will additionally receive a sticker in your digital collection pass as a reward.

Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, travel comfortably and quickly through the entire valley to your desired destination using public transport or local taxi companies!

Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, hat, possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without the possibility of stopping for food, is necessary.
