The starting point of the easy hike is at the Mure parking lot in the village center of Umhausen. From there, you hike up through the village, continuing in the direction of Niederthai. At Bischoffsplatz, follow the signposted winter hiking trail towards Stuibenfall, passing the Ötzi Village and the bird of prey park (open only in summer) until you reach a bridge. Cross this bridge and you will already see the Stuböbele forest cafe. The sporty can turn right and reach the foot of the Stuibenfall - Tyrol's largest waterfall. The hike continues past the Stuböbele forest cafe to the Steppsteig junction. Through the snow-covered forest, follow the winter hiking trail and enjoy the panorama of Umhausen. At the end of the path, follow the signs back to Umhausen and return to the starting point.

Public transit

Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL train station. Afterwards, travel comfortably and quickly with public transport or local taxi companies throughout the valley to your desired destination! Getting there

The car drive into the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the ÖTZTAL branches off to the south as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car, visitors drive over the Inn Valley to the valley entrance and then along the Ötztal. In addition to the toll highway, country roads can also be used. Your trip can be quickly and conveniently planned with the route planner.
