The starting point is the central parking lot in Oetz. You cross the street and walk through the old town center of Oetz, past the Gasthof Stern and the tower museum to the church. The path then leads up a forest track to the observation platform "Hexenplatte". A witch is said to have once wandered through this area. Evidence of this are her footprints, which she left in one of the rocks - the so-called "Hexenplatte".

The return is on the same path. Alternatively, you can turn right onto the Steinweg and return via the steeper hiking trail.

"The Piburger See and its 9 treasures"

The "9 treasures" are 9 very special places in the region around the Piburger See. Observation platforms mark these points and invite visitors to linger. Take a short break to reflect on your thoughts and dreams. At each platform you will find a "treasure book" which serves to capture these thoughts. Thus, each place becomes your very own special treasure!

The seating on the Hexenplatte invites you to linger. For those interested in culture, the church of St. George and St. Nicholas is also open.
