Already the entrance to Ötztal offers comfortable tracks in top conditions: The easy cross-country loop trail in Ochsengarten leads along snow-covered, meter-high spruce forests and glades towards Kühtai. Continuing into the valley, Umhausen-Niederthai is considered a real mecca for cross-country skiers in Ötztal. 12 loops at varied difficulty levels with splendid landscape backdrop justify this status.
The magnificent Nordic skiing loops on more than 40 kilometers along the spacious valley basin of Längenfeld show Ötztal from a completely different side - wide and gentle. Fantastic views of white fields towards the upper valley stretching up to Gamskogel peak, Längenfeld's majestic landmark. Nature exploration at its best: gliding on Nordic skis into the secluded Sulztal valley in Gries.
From here you conquer the high Alpine mountains. It's hard to believe but true: passionate cross-country skiers will find splendid routes also in Sölden, Vent and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl. Snow is always guaranteed. Although spring has arrived in the valley, Nordic skiing is still possible in the higher regions.
