Arrival information
Sustainable travel tip: Via daily international direct train connections to Ötztal-Bahnhof, from there directly by bus every half hour to the stop Umhausen Gh Andreas Hofer (about 2.1 km from Alpenchalet Farst). All information on travel options: www.oetztal.com/nachhaltige-anreise
Arrival by car: To Umhausen on the Ötztal Str. B186. First entrance to Umhausen-village until the church, then left over the bridge. Turn left at the cemetery, follow the road - at the fork keep right and continue for about 4.5 km to the hamlet of Farst.
In winter, the road is cleared, but snow chains and a four-wheel-drive vehicle are required! In summer, you should be free from a fear of heights and able to handle narrow, partially paved, and exposed roads that lead along the rock up the mountain!
