Description
This impressive hike takes you deep into the alpine high mountain landscape of the Ötztal Alps. We reach the Gehsteigalm, the starting point of our tour, by taxi from the meeting point. From here, the path steadily ascends through the stunning mountain landscape of the Geigenkamm to the Erlanger Hütte. Above the hut lies the Wettersee – a clear mountain lake nestled between rocky peaks and alpine meadows. The high alpine surroundings provide breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks of the Ötztal Alps. After a well-deserved break at the Erlanger Hütte, we descend via the idyllic Leierstalalm back into the valley.
