Description

Our dormice – also called sleeping mice – live hidden and are rarely seen. Crepuscular and nocturnal, they spend most of the year in hibernation. During this special exploration hike in the Piburger Wald, we will take a closer look at these little forest dwellers. Together, we will go on a quest for traces, explore their habitat, and embark on an exciting nut hunt. Along the way, we will learn interesting facts about the hazel dormouse, garden dormouse, tree dormouse, and fat dormouse and discover what makes these fascinating animals so special.
