Selected alternatives for you

On the quiet (lift-free) side of the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN, some natural trail gems are hidden: including the 1 km long, red Windach Trail.

Above, almost parallel to the old Windacher forestry road, runs the Windach Trail. It is quite wide, with a surface that is sometimes grippy and stony, sometimes sandy forest floor, which even rain cannot affect much. Twice the trail crosses the old Windacher forestry road – and it contains a few hairpin bends.

You can combine the trail with the red Lochle Alm Trail or the black – really very, very demanding – Jägers Notweg.

The trail is part of the route Enduro Quiet Side C.

    Please watch out for hikers!

    Author’s recommendation

You can perfectly combine the Waindach Trail with other routes in Sölden's Silent Part: for example, the Lochle Alm Trail (6014) or the black and very challenging Jägers Notweg Trail (673). Jägers Notweg is reserved to very skilled bikers!

    Safety information

The Windach Trail is a red route. In general, it is rideable but has a few hairpin bends.

In the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN, it’s all about having fun together with bike sports – regardless of your skill level. Be considerate of each other and support one another. Also behave respectfully towards all other people on the mountain and in the valley – and nature.

–> Stay on the paved and signposted paths. Do not ride across open meadows!

–> Avoid locking the rear wheel to help preserve the paths.

–> Be considerate of animals & close the pasture gates. There can always be cows on the trails and lines. Ride cautiously and keep your distance!

–> Please note: Hikers also use the natural trails of the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN. Ride carefully, stop, yield considerately and greet politely.
