A magnificent panoramic via ferrata in the middle of the Obergurgl glacier world.
In the easy sections (A-B), you can gather your strength again before the short harder ascents (C/D). The distinctive grass ledge after the first third allows a break or also exit via one of the two emergency routes. Although the via ferrata lacks the absolute difficulties, it is quite demanding due to its alpine altitude and north-facing orientation and requires via ferrata experience. There are sufficient footholds and also two marked emergency exits that also allow shortening the route.
Climbing length and time required
350 meters of elevation (2,410 - 2,760 m) and 700 m climbing length. About 3 hours, including the descent to Langtalereck hut 4 hours.
Descent
After exiting, you reach Hochwilde house in 40 minutes and need 60 minutes to Langtalereck hut, 2.5 hours to Obergurgl.
