Map & elevation profile

Niederthai -> Tauferberg Forest -> Hoher Stein -> Niederthai

The Tauferberg is the flat forest ridge west of Niederthai. The hike starts at the Lehen parking lot in Niederthai. After about 50 m, a wide forest road leads left into the forest; follow this to an intersection. To the left it continues towards Wiesle and to the right towards Wolfsegg. Continue walking along the forest road to the right until it ends and becomes a narrow hiking trail called the “Tauferberg circuit.” Then follow the signs to Hoher Stein. Passing the climbing area to reach the very top, you can admire the climbing skills of some rock climbers. Once at the top, enjoy a wonderful view over Längenfeld. The return is via the same route and continues over the small Tauferberg path to Mauslesattel and back to Niederthai.
