The start of this beautiful route is in the Zirbenwald. The winter hiking trail leads with a moderate ascent past the Rotmoos waterfall to the Schönwieshütte.
Attention! The snowshoe trail is not tracked. We recommend this route only with snowshoes or poles and spikes/crampons.

Public transport
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal railway station. The final stop and exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly continue by public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination.

The car journey to ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the Ötztal branches off southwards as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car takes visitors over the Inn Valley to the entrance of the valley and further along the Ötztal. Besides the toll highway, country roads can also be used.
