DAY TIP
Sattele (1,690 m) –> Feldringalm –> Faltengartenköpfl (2,184 m) –> Feldringer Böden –> Marlstein –> Sattele
From Sattele, take the forest road up to Feldringalm at 1,888 m. Continue on the path to the Feldringer Böden until the summit cross of Faltengartenköpfl. Beautiful panoramic mountain! Descend via the Grünwaslkreuz to Marlstein. Then take the forest road back to the starting point, Sattele!

Roadbook
HAMLET, MOOR LAKE & LONELY PATHS
The Ötztal Trek starts at Ötztal Station on the main road east of the village entrance near the construction waste dump towards Larchet, Höpperg. In front of the chapel, turn right towards Grün until you reach the junction to Höpperg where you turn right again. Upon reaching the houses, follow the unpaved road until it leads downhill, then turn left onto the path.
Past the beautiful Brandsee/Amberger Lake, continue towards Sattele. From there, take the signposted path to Marlstein. From Marlstein, descend gently to Mareil. Afterwards, follow the Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Weg on the left side of the road until you reach the Dortmunder Hut after 200 meters of elevation gain.
Optional: Overnight stay in Marlstein or Mareil.

Public transport
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal station. The final stop or exit point is ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel comfortably and quickly through the entire valley to your desired destination by public transport or local taxi companies.

Directions
Car travel into ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the ÖTZTAL branches off to the south as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car leads visitors along the Inn valley to the valley entrance and further along the Ötztal. Besides the toll highway, local roads can also be used.
