PARKING LOT LEHEN DISTRICT->lower & upper Hemerachalm->Hemerkogel->PARKING LOT LEHEN DISTRICT

From the parking lot Lehen district in Niederthai, walk past the football field along Fortsweg towards Wiesle. Upon reaching Mauslasattel, follow a path right through the Hemer forest to the Lower Hemerachalm. Then continue up to the Upper Hemerachalm. You now leave the tree line and enter rockier terrain. The final ascent to the ridge is quite steep - once reached, the last ascent leads to the summit cross. The descent is via the same route. For very fit hikers who have enough time, the route via the Hemerachscharte with descent to Grastalsee is recommended. From there, continue through the Grastal valley downwards (Attention: this route takes an additional 4-5 hours!).
