The Tour
From Obergurgl across the Gurgler Heide to the entrance of the Ferwall Valley. Crossing the stream in the valley floor and following it uphill towards the back of the valley. From here steeply upward over scree to the pass.

Public transit
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal railway station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel with public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination! Getting there
Driving into the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the ÖTZTAL branches off to the south as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car takes visitors through the Inn valley to the valley entrance and further along the Ötztal. Besides the toll highway, country roads can also be used. - Parking garage village center Obergurgl (down right in front of the church), paid | € 2.00 per hour
- Parking garage town entrance – valley station Festkoglbahn, paid | € 6.00 per day
- Parking lot Hochgurglbahn valley station, free – night parking prohibited
- Parking lot Top Mountain Crosspoint, free
- Parking lot Hochgurgl, free (very small parking lot)

Equipment
Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain, and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves are required for all hikes and routes. Taking a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without refreshment options, is necessary.
