The Tour
From Sulztalalm you are in open terrain. Pay attention to the avalanche situation!!
GRIES -> Vögelasbrücke -> Nisslam junction -> Sulztalalm -> AMBERGER HÜTTE
A popular destination for hiking and snowshoeing is the family-friendly Amberger Hut (2,135 m), which is also the starting point for many ski tours. From the south-facing sunny terrace of the massive natural stone building from 1888, you look out onto the gleaming Sulztalferner, flanked by mighty peaks such as Schrankogel or Wilde Leck. The ascent to the Amberger Hut climbs steadily along a wide track following the Fischbach, which guides the way up to shortly before the hut. Those who want to take a short break can do so halfway at the Sulztalalm.
On the way back, you can rent a sled at Sulztalalm and sled down the valley with momentum.

Directions
From the parking lot at the end of Gries, follow the path into the Sulztal. From the crossing of the Vögelasbrücke, the incline becomes noticeably steeper. After a few hairpin bends, you pass the Nisslam junction. Here, continue straight ahead and follow the valley further in. After about 1 hour of walking, you reach Sulztalalm and thus have already completed half of the way. The further path continues pleasantly uphill except for the last section, which has a noticeable incline.
