Sporty bike route into the beautiful Sulztal above Längenfeld. The Amberger Hut awaits at the end of the side valley in a breathtaking, alpine location, surrounded by several 3,000 meter peaks.
The Sulztalalm is closed in summer 2025 due to renovation work.
Increased truck and car traffic throughout the entire Sulztal road.
Always ride at controlled speed and with limited visibility, especially in curves, as obstacles can occur at any time.
Operating hours:
Trucks: Mon – Fri from 6:00 am – 10:00 pm
Cars: all day
The starting point is at the Längenfeld sports center. From here, cycle towards the main street, turn right before the fire station and ride up a short climb to the Fischbach. Cross the bridge there and then turn left onto the main street, which you also cross. Along the Fischbach, cycle to a bridge, cross it, and continue through the forest. After a while you reach a bridge where you can already see the village of Gries. Through the village of Gries and past the parking lot. Continue riding on the gravel road until you reach a crossroads. There, turn left towards the Amberger Hut, accompanied by a sea of alpine roses (blooming period mid to late June), follow the path and cycle along the beautiful Sulztal, always accompanied by the Fischbach. Past the Vorderen Sulztalalm (closed due to renovation work in summer 2025) and Hinteren Sulztalalm (not managed), the high valley becomes increasingly barren. At 2,136 meters, the Amberger Hut already appears. Once at the top, enjoy the breathtaking panorama with several 3,000-meter peaks.
