Map & elevation profile

The route steadily ascends, initially on asphalt, then on gravel, up to Kleblealm (1,983 m). Spectacular views guaranteed.

The start and end point of the mountain bike route to Kleble Alm is the Freizeit Arena in the center of Sölden. Facing the Freizeit Arena, start to the right and cycle a few meters on the Ötztal Bike Path 11 to the social center. From here, turn left and pedal up Granbichlstraße, which soon becomes a forest road that you follow all the way to Kleble Alm.

The lush mountain meadows of Kleblealm lie with a view on the east slope above Sölden. The ascent of the moderate and just under 12 km long mountain bike route leads through the district of Granbichl. Both the initial asphalt road and the following forest road do not require major riding skills. However, 630 meters of elevation gain is more than just a casual ride. Soon the biker leaves the forest behind and can enjoy the view of the Gaislachkogl, the hub of the Sölden ski resort. Upon arrival at Kleblealm, it is worth stopping. Here you have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and can fully enjoy the quiet side of Sölden.

Author's tip

Slightly below Kleble Alm is the Stallwies Alm, which can also be reached via the Kleble Alm Trail (699) or the mountain bike route Kleble Alm (651). Whether going up or already back down the valley, Stallwies Alm is the perfect place for a stop.

After a break at one of the alpine pastures, freeriders are in for a real treat: The footpath down to Sölden (699) offers one of the best single trails in the region. Steep and demanding, this option requires good riding skills. Not only do sections with roots challenge both rider and equipment. Those who prefer to roll down more comfortably can simply return via the approach route.

The moderate mountain bike route starts at the Freizeit Arena in Sölden. At the first intersection, turn into Granbichlstraße and follow it. After a few meters, you reach the Altenwohnheim. Granbichlstraße leads uphill directly to the hamlet of the same name, Granbichl. Always follow Granbichlstraße, soon leaving the last houses of the hamlet behind. The paved road continues for a few more meters before turning into gravel. You pass a barrier and follow the wide gravel path, always uphill. At the next fork, stay left and follow the signage for the mountain bike route toward Kleblealm. The higher you go, the better the view of the surrounding mountains of Sölden. On the opposite side towers the middle and top station of the Gaislachkoglbahn at the eponymous summit. From the Stallwiesalm / Kleblealm junction, it is only a few hundred meters to the tour destination, Kleblealm. The alpine pasture is located in a beautiful, scenic spot and is also the starting point for several summit tours, including the local mountain of Sölden, the Söldenkogl. Slightly below Kleblealm lies Stallwiesalm, which also invites you to rest. It can be reached via the narrow Kleble Alm Trail (699) or the wide ascent path. After a well-deserved break at one of the alpine pastures, the return ride to Sölden follows the approach route back. Freeriders have a real treat waiting. The footpath to Sölden (699) offers one of the best single trails in the region. Steep and challenging, this option requires a good level of riding skill.
