Map & elevation profile

This demanding mountain bike circular route extends below the Gaislachkogel.

The start and finish point of the Gaislach mountain bike circular route is the Freizeit Arena in the center of Sölden. Facing the Freizeit Arena, you start to the right and follow the Ötztal Cycle Path 11 to the valley station of the Gaislachkogelbahn. Upon reaching the Gaislachkogelbahn, turn right to reach the federal highway B186, which you follow until the junction with the Glacier Road from the federal highway. From here, turn right up the steep Glacier Road; after two hairpin bends, leave the Glacier Road and follow the Infangstraße to the left. Here begins the steadily ascending path, initially still paved, towards Gaislachalm. At first, the forest provides some shade, but soon you reach the sunny alpine meadows.

The path takes you past the refreshments Sonneck, Gaislachalm, and Heidealm, up to the highest point of the route: the middle station of the Gaislachkogelbahn. Afterwards, an asphalt road leads you to the Glacier Road, which takes you back down to the valley.
