4th treasure: in the realm of butterflies
Description
On the path from Niederthai towards the Larstigalm we find different plants and habitats such as meadows, dry stone walls, forest clearings and wet areas, which are particularly valuable for butterflies. Our butterfly expert Karel Ceny identifies the butterflies that we (carefully!) catch with our insect nets and we'll get to see them up close. Of course we net respectfully and only from the edge of the meadow, because the preservation of the agricultural meadows is essential for the continued existence of these fluttering beauties! Where do you think we'll find most butterflies? On hay meadows, moist meadow areas, forest edges, intensively farmed meadows or in the shade? Come and find out with us!
