THE MOUNTAINEERING VILLAGE AT THE END OF THE VALLEY
Surrounded by several three-thousanders and an impressive mountain backdrop lies the lively mountaineering village Vent. In midsummer, many people with large backpacks and climbing equipment gather in this manageable village. The paths of climbers lead to the Wildspitze or to the site where “Ötzi” was found!
Not far from the village center, a narrow path leads over green mountain meadows and wild mountain streams that make their way down to the valley to flow later into the Venter Ache. The higher you get, the more bizarre and unforgettable the panorama becomes. The glacier-covered 3,000-meter peaks slowly come back into view.
The path passes the Tiefenbach Glacier, where countless winter sports enthusiasts prove themselves in winter. When descending to the Gaislachalm huts, you immerse yourself in the feeling of “being away from everyday life.” Deep breaths and enjoyment await at the stage destination in idyllic Gaislach high above Sölden.

Directions
At the Rofenhöfe intersection, P9, turn right following the wide forest road towards Stableinalm until you reach the entry to the high alpine panoramic path. At the beginning of the path, you gain altitude quickly due to a somewhat steeper ascent. Continuing along the path, it goes over the slopes of Weißenkar and Mutboden.
Throughout the entire route, you enjoy a magnificent view of the valley basin, surrounded by mighty mountain giants. Always gently uphill, you finally reach the Tiefenbachbahn parking lot. This is also the highest point of this stage, the valley station of the Tiefenbachbahn at the foot of the Tiefenbach Glacier at 2,800 meters.
Emerging from the rocky high alpine terrain, at the beginning of the Tiefenbachbahn parking lot, turn right and follow the panoramic path down to Gaislach. Along the way, you once again enjoy a wonderful mountain panorama with a view into the Ventertal.

Public transit
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal station. The terminus or getting off point is ÖTZTAL station. Then you can conveniently and quickly continue your journey through the whole valley to your desired destination by public transport or local taxi companies.

Getting there
Driving to ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the Ötztal branches off to the south as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car leads visitors through the Inn valley to the valley entrance and then along the Ötztal. Besides the toll motorway, country roads can also be used.
