The Alps will remain at the foehny front of a storm front centred over the North Sea until into Friday. Therefore, the conditions will remain dry at the north side of the Alps, while the main Alpine divide will be affected by slight southerly barrier effects. On Friday night, a Genoa low will move into our direction and finish the southerly foehn current over our area. At the same time, heavy precipitation will temporarily revive with a cold front and the snow line will sink to the low areas in the valleys until Saturday morning. Behind this front, colder air will infiltrate our area for longer, whereby the peak of the temperature decrease will be reached on Tuesday. Scattered snow showers are repeatedly embedded in this cold air masses, consequently the weather character will remain wintry cold.
