Discover the Stuibenfall.
On this route you will learn how water has shaped life and the landscape in Umhausen over the centuries and what great influence it still has. Fascinating insights into the diverse uses of water await you, from historical watering systems to naturally grown bridges
With the fascinating natural spectacle always in view, you ascend on the right side of the cascading waters via roughly 700 steps to the source of the Stuibenfall. Along the way, you pass scenic viewing platforms as well as the 80-meter-long suspension bridge. At the end of the Discovery Trail, you can either return the same way, or follow the old Niederthai road back to Umhausen. Alternatively, you can continue on to Niederthai and return to Umhausen from there by public transport.
Author’s recommendation
1. Get started: You can either click the link oder scan the QR code. You can also access it directly on the trail via QR code. In both cases you will be redirected to a new page. You don't have to download anything or create an account, download an app or anything else. The digital routes including facts are available as a web version and easily accessible via a link (or QR code).
2. No cheating possible: The individual stations must first be reached in order to unlock and listen to the associated stories and facts. But who wants to cheat anyway when you've got it in your calves?
3. Digital collector’s pass: Once you have reached all the stations on a discovery trail, you will also receive a sticker in your digital collector's passport as a reward.
