The starting point of this bike tour is at the Mure car park in Umhausen. There you follow the Ötztal cycle path (No. 11) to the bridge on the Ötztal federal road that leads to Köfels. You choose the path up towards Köfels and follow the asphalt road with a moderate incline. After a short time you drive over the site of an ancient landslide known as the "Köfler landslide". Around 8,700 years ago, around three cubic kilometers of rock rumbled down into the Ötztal and blocked the course of the Ötztaler Ache. After you have passed the small, idyllic village of Köfels at 1,400 meters, the marked forest path to the Wurzberg Alm begins on the left. The inclines on the wide gravel path are partly easy to drive, so that nothing stands in the way of a relaxed stop at the 1,575 meter high Alm. From there you continue down the forest path towards Winklen in Längenfeld. From there you take the Ötztal Cycle Path (No. 11) back to Umhausen.
