Winter holidays tyrol

A dream in white

Still not sure where to go on your next winter vacation? Tirol is a very hot tip. And in Tirol, on the other hand, Ötztal is particularly popular. Everything that makes a winter holiday a truly memorable experience is available in huge quantities here. First of all, heaps of mountains: The Ötztal Alps boast around 250 three thousand meter high peaks, 60 of which exceed 3400 meters. For your vacation it means one thing above all: absolute snow guarantee! A high level of snow reliability forms the most important basis for unlimited skiing fun. But Austria is not only worth a visit for downhill enthusiasts. Cross-country skiers, snowboarders, snowshoe hikers and winter walkers are warmly welcomed, too. Around 150 kilometers of cross-country trails, permanent halfpipes in Sölden and Gurgl and a scenic network of cleared winter hiking trails offer all opportunities active winter vacationers are looking for.

The full power on two boards

Lots of fabulous slope kilometers at all levels of difficulty and well-developed ski areas with countless mountain lifts and gondolas promise a successful winter vacation in Tirol. Ötztal is one of Austria's most popular winter sports destinations: 6 different ski areas, including 2 glacier ski mountains, 90 ultra-modern lifts and 363 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes. A paradise for all ski aficionados.

Out and about on your toboggan

The range of sledding routes with over 50 kilometers and 15 toboggan runs includes a wide choice of family-friendly toboggan runs at the entrance to the valley but also challenging downhill adventures on toboggan tracks available also in upper Ötztal. The toboggan run from Feldringalm is very family-friendly. Those who prefer the thrill of speed are recommended to head towards Sölden and the toboggan run leading down from Gaislachkogl middle station. The best thing about it: The ascent must not be made necessarily on foot as the mountain lift also takes you effortlessly to the start of the toboggan run.
