Where the valley’s art towers

The Oetz Tower Museum stands impressively right at the heart of the historic village center. An eye-catcher that is hard to miss thanks to its architecture. You will be no less impressed by the “inner values” of the museum, which is part of the Ötztal Museums ensemble. The collection includes almost 5,000 objects, which can be seen on a regular basis. The focus is on artistic creation within the region.

Ötztal art you can touch

Founded by Ötztal’s art collector and folklorist Hans Jäger, the Oetz Tower Museum still houses a remarkable art collection of almost 5,000 objects. The works on display include rural cultural assets such as furniture and sculptures, but above all alpine landscape painting as well as contemporary art and photography. Parts of the art collection can be seen alternately in temporary exhibitions, whereby they are presented innovatively in the context of historical and (socially) critical topics. Awarded the Austrian Museum Prize in 2021, the Tower Museum is definitely worth a visit. Even free of charge for Summer Card holders.
