NATURE PARK EXHIBITION ON VENT'S HISTORY IN THE PARISH HOUSE

Nature's Podium - Nature Park Exhibition and Information Base in Vent

The so-called "hideout" made of solid stone pine wood can be found in front of Vent's parish house, symbolizing the main themes of the exhibition:  Archaeology/history of settlement of the nearby "Hohler Stein" hunting base in Vent. Additionally, next to the "hideout" there is also a bronze relief of the surrounding landscape, pointing out special places of interest.

The fabulous Nature Park Exhibition, covering some 50 m², gives an insight into Vent's huge variety of natural historical facts and its history of civilization. Natural history comprises field names, Stone Age settlements, climate change and glacial recession. High Alpine areas feature very sensible habitats which are shown in multi-media presentations by displaying also a selection of rare exhibits.

All descriptions and explanations are available in German and English. The multi-media exhibition also centers on several audio stations presenting animal sounds, field names spoken in typical Ötztal dialect and interactive touch pads. Leafing through the guestbook of Franz Senn, admiring old panorama photos of glaciers, zooming in electron microscopic pictures of animals and their exciting patterns.
