In intervals of half a minute, the participants start in the village center of Umhausen and run on asphalt and along the Wasserwaalweg to the valley floor of the wet natural spectacle. There the key point of the race awaits the runners: 728 natural and steel steps have to be conquered as quickly as possible. Accompanied by the invigorating sound of the waterfall, the runners will climb step by step. Numerous spectators await the participants at the finish line at Gasthof Stuibenfall in Niederthai.
