Lake experience for young and old.
The small lake is idyllically located on the edge of the forest at the end of Habichen. A 12-metre-long footbridge leads out onto the lake. Seating invites you to linger and enjoy.

The gently sloping sandbank is the ideal place for children to build sandcastles or bake sand cakes. The forest provides cosy shade in the warm summer months. Frogs, fish and newts cavort in the lake, and in the evening a particularly large number of bats come out of the forest to drink at the lake.

In the immediate vicinity of the Habicher See is the 'Eiskeller' (ice cellar), which was used as a natural refrigerator until 1960. In the ice cellar, temperatures are around 0°C all year round. This is due to underground cavities in which the cold air accumulates.

Starting point: small car park after the underground tour in Habichen.
Walking time there and back: 30 minutes
Level of difficulty: easy, path is suitable for prams and barrier-free.
