The mirror of the mountains.The lake is a popular destination for young and old.Swimming is allowed at the bathing area and rowing boats can be rented. In summer, the lake reaches a water temperature of up to 24°C, making it one of the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol.You can reach Lake Piburg from Oetz, Habichen, Piburg or Sautens on many different hiking and walking trails. The picturesque church of Niederthai, a true Baroque gem, is consecrated to Saint Anthony. Inaugurated and consecrated in 1698. The interior features a precious high altar in Baroque style and fresco paintings of diverse saints. Rich stucco decorations which still remind of the great importance of this parish church in the past.
