The Polles Alm is located at an altitude of 1.782m and is easily accessible in approx. 2 hours starting at the football ground in Huben. The first path leads you through the „Ötztaler Sagenweg“ to the Feuerstein hut and further on an old very beautiful hiking trail up to the Polles hut. Ideal for a family hike or for a mountain bike tour. The hike can be continued further to Hinter Polles (1h) or a steep rocky path over the Hahlkoglhaus (2.5h - uncultivated) back to Huben (2h). On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the innkeepers offer an Alpine breakfast upon reservation. |

Stefan Grüner The route leads from the fun park in Huben to the Polltal and Breitlehnalm pastures. Hikers will soon be able to switch to the footpath, which has a steep incline, but will shorten the many hairpin bends. What is striking is the fern-rich larch and stone pine forest which you walk through almost to the very top. Once at the hut, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the valley and the Ötztal mountains. Relaxed and strengthened, it's back down to the valley. To do this, either choose the route or hike further to the Breitlehnalm and from there take the mountain climb (somewhat steeper) back to Huben. Walking time: 2 hours |

Current Information The Schweinfurter Hütte is located in the middle of the Ötztal mountains with a magnificent panorama view. The hut is very favored in summer for many mountain hiking tours and in the winter for ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking. Current Information The Siegerland Hütte The hut is high above the Windachtal in the Stubaier Alps on 2.710 metres and not far from the border to South Tyrol. It also has his own climbing garden. The hut was built in 1928/29 and opened in 1930. The owner is the DAV, section Siegerland. Every year the section renovates and renews the hut, which is very neat. The Siegerland Refuge is of course not the oldest hut and not the most comfortable one, but we are sure, it is one of the most beautiful huts in the Stubaier Alps. The hut extinguish with it’s simplicity- but please believe- the "Kaiserschmarrn" never tasted better than up in the mountains. The hut has 23 beds and 26 dorm mattresses. |
