The Hut: At Gampe Thaya only local produce from our own farms is used to prepare typical Ötztal specialties which are served in the cosy wooden parlors or on the wonderful sunbathing terrace. In the "Gampe Ladele" all local products are available for sale, like freshly made cheese. Large playground. Breakfast on the hut on request! Open from 17th june 2024 to 13th september 2024The hut is the highest hut in the Ötztal Alps and is situated on 3272 m. It is also called the glacier palace. The lodge is accessible only by the glacier. High Alpine Mountain Tour - Mountain equipment required. For a suitable acclimatization training excellent.

The alp with its own dairy and panoramic views, easily reached via the forest trail from the Acherkogelbahn top station in about 30 minutes. Home made butter and cheese. Hot meals throughout the day. Walk from here to the old halfway station in about 35 minutes.
