Nordic skiing in Umhausen

Nordic Skiing Track Description

Umhausen with its various Cross-country skiing tracks offers perfect conditions for nordic sports. Thanks to its high altitude at 1,550m above sea level, snow is guaranteed in Niederthai from December to spring. Several trails at different difficulty levels are available, ranging from easy to very challenging. In spring, when the valley is already in full bloom Niederthai still offers perfect conditions on the nordic trails. Sunshine cross-country skiing is great fun! Niederthai received the official Tirolean Quality Seal for its well-maintained nordic tracks.

Every Thursday from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm
Be it beginner or pro – everyone can join the fun-filled taster biathlon. Guided by the experts of Umhausen's air-rifle club, you can learn more about biathlon shooting techniques.

At about 1200 meters above sea level passionate cross-country skiers can choose from 50 kilometers of immaculate Nordic skiing tracks awarded with the official Tirolean Quality Seal. Wonderful cross-country skiing is ensured on the huge valley floor. Guests staying in the Ötztal can use all Nordic skiing tracks for free.

Facts and figures: 12 kilometers of Nordic ski trails, 3 kilometers of practicing tracks, 1 kilometer equipped with floodlights in Hochgurgl.
