The Siegerlandhütte stands at 2.710m directly at the foot of the highest mountains in the Stubai Alps. The hike starts at the Windachalm / Fiegls hut. Through the broad Windachtal wanders up to the Gaisstabel. From there, the path becomes to a narrow path. You cross a stream and then you go to the funicular of the Siegerlandhütte. After the cable car, it goes then the last altitude (about 1 hour) again uphill to Siegerlandhütte.

Author’s recommendation

In summer there is a taxi, which runs from Sölden to the Windachalm. So you save  the way from Sölden to the Windachalm.

Turn-by-turn directions

From Fiegl's hut the wide path through the Windachtal can not be missed. On this wide path you walk to the Gaisstabl. Where the trails separate Siegerlandhütte and Hildesheimerhütte. After the branch-off of the paths, a good mountain trail begins, which always runs close to the bottom of the valley to the valley station of the material ropeway of the Siegerlandhütte. From here a marked route leads, which meanders in the wide Kar, in an hour steeply up.

The descent is the same as the ascent and takes about 3 hours.
