All in all, this hike is not too difficult and a rewarding family hike in the Tyrolean Ötztal.

On this tour, which starts behind the church, you walk steeply uphill to the Ausserwaldstraße in the Ausserwald hamlet. Then cross the ski slope and walk through the hamlet of Innerwald, until you get to the Ötztaler Gletscherstraße.

You continue following the Ötztaler Gletscherstraße to the Hochsölden junction. From the Hochsölden junction, continue on the asphalt road to Hochsölden.

Author’s recommendation

Im Sommer können Sie gemütlich mit der Giggijochbahn zum Giggijoch fahren und von dort aus in ca. 30 Minuten nach Hochsölden absteigen.
