On the Edge on an AbyssIf you are looking for peace and silence away from the busy tourist destinations. Seejöchl makes the perfect spot. Up here the world is still a paradise! After a couple of fairly steep ascents towards the viewing platform towering above lake Piburger See, hikers are rewarded with fabulous views of the lake and the majestic mountains in the background. Observe the lively activities some 150hm further down from a bird's eye perspective. Cozy seating facilities on the platform are ideal for a short break. Hikers, mountain bikers and E-bikers share the same trail. However, the last few meters towards the platform can only be covvered on foot.Depending from which direction you are approaching Seejöchl, the ascent can be quite strenuous. The easiest way to reach the vista point is from the hamlet of Piburg or the hamlet of Haderlehn. The Hut: At Gampe Thaya only local produce from our own farms is used to prepare typical Ötztal specialties which are served in the cosy wooden parlors or on the wonderful sunbathing terrace. In the "Gampe Ladele" all local products are available for sale, like freshly made cheese. Large playground. Breakfast on the hut on request! Skill & flow with the right techniqueIt is the first of its kind in Tirol, equipped with an uphill flow area: the new eBIKE PARK in Oetz comprises several routes of varying difficulty just perfect to get in touch with e-biking for the very first time. On wavy tracks with different trail surfaces you will get the right feeling for your bike, its mechanics and off-road behavior. The course covers 1.5 kilometers: Beginners start with the easy, blue route similar to the ski slopes in winter. It won't take long until you feel safe enough for the more difficult Sattelfest practice trail.It's about balance and agility, conquering small obstacles, shifting gears correctly, braking and cornering techniques - and not only riding downhill but also uphill: the uphill flow trail through the forest proves how much fun it is to cycle uphill on an e-bike.The eBIKE PARK can be found on the Ötztal Cycle Trail at the valley station of Acherkogel mountain gondola in Oetz.
